Jen

Owner of Jen's Fabric, designer

Hi all! My name is Ashley and I’m the owner of Ashley Elizabeth Designs. When my daughter was 4, I could already tell she was going to be a fashionista which led me down the path of learning to sew. I started out teaching myself using YouTube and Facebook. After that it was pure love. I loved creating things and seeing the joy on my daughter’s face as she would twirl around the living room in her dresses made by me. After 2 years, I opened up my shop out of my house selling to local customers and friends. I kept having people asking me for my information and where they could purchase my kids’ outfits. Out of this came my Instagram business and later Facebook. I couldn’t be more thankful to have the opportunity to sew for others and share my gift of custom created clothing and sewing. A little about me personal- I have 3 children- a 9, 7 and 3 year old! It’s hard to believe my little lady is 9 at this point but she will still wear mom’s created clothing! I’m married to my high school sweetheart who I’m so thankful is super supportive of my sewing business (and fabric addiction ). During the day, I’m a teacher! This is my 14 year in the field. Hi, I’m Ruth. I have been sewing since I was a child. I am a stay at home mom to two young kids. Since I became a mom, I have used the sewing skills I have to make most of the clothes we wear. It is a way to ground myself during a season of wonderful chaos that is life with littles. Both my husband and I have always been Disney obsessed; we spent our honeymoon at Disney Paris. I’m so happy to be on the strike team here and share these wonderful designs! I believe everyone should sew what brings them joy. For me, that’s clothes that my whole family can love and cherish.

Hi! I’m Kalinda- mama of 2, wife, and self taught sewist. I started when my oldest was 1 and have fallen in love with sewing more and more with each project completed ever since! Being a girl mom, my favorite thing to sew is dresses, so you’ll see lots of that from me, but with my oldest maturing, her tastes are changing, too. So, we’re mixing in fun hoodies and new pieces all the time. I started strike sewing for fabric companies, like Jen’s, several years ago and it really pushed me to sharpen my sewing skills and grow my confidence as a sewist. With time I decided to open my own small shop, Nori & Noxi Handmade, about a year ago. I quickly found my full time job didn’t allow me the time to dedicate to grow my business. I’m currently a full time SAHM and I’m so excited to be able to jump in head first and start creating for a bigger audience. I truly hope you’ll find inspiration in my sews for Jen’s, I’m so grateful to be here and be a part of her team! I’d love for you to follow along on my journey. I started sewing using wovens 3 and a half years ago. I wanted to get more comfortable with my sewing machine, learn the terms written in the patterns, and make culottes for my girls. A year later, I started using knits to make clothes for my whole family. I love the freedom it gives me to make garments that fit us well and are also the style, patterns, and fabrics that we enjoy.

My name is NaKita and I’m a stay at home mom of 2🥰 I’ve been sewing a little over 8 years now. I started by making clothes and blankets for my son once he was born. Then 1 year ago, I dipped my toes in making bags and fell in love with that too🥰

Sewing is my biggest passion. It means a lot to me❤️ My grandmother introduced it to me when I was younger. Now that she’s gone, I cherish it even more. My son and my grandmother are the reason why I sew. I put my heart into everything I make. I do it for them❤️
